All you need to know about SaddleSpan

SaddleSpan is a unique large tent design that can be configured into a huge variety of different shapes, suitable for many different purposes. To help you to learn more about it, here are a few of the most commonly asked questions (and answers) about SaddleSpan.

What can it be used for?

The SaddleSpan design is incredibly versatile, which means that there isn’t really a limit on the different kinds of purposes it can be used for. Whether a pop-up bar, festival venue, conference hall or exhibition space, SaddleSpan can be configured to meet the needs of virtually any event.

How long does a SaddleSpan tent take to put up?

One of the main benefits of this kind of event tents is ease of assembly, meaning that they tend to be a lot quicker to erect than other similar performance/exhibition tents.

What is it made from?

The genius of SaddleSpan is its construction, as it is made from a tensile membrane structure. These structures are lightweight but very strong, and they don’t require much support to keep them up. This design can also be reconfigured in a number of ways, many of which resemble architecturally designed spaces with arches and vaulted ceilings.

Is SaddleSpan weather-proof?

These event tents are designed to provide protection for a large number of people from all the elements – wind, sun, rain and even sand.

How many people can fit in an event tent?

This all depends on the configuration of the tent, as there are many different designs, in different sizes available.

How Large Does Your Event Marquee Need to be?

Your venue is the first impression your guests will have of your event and it can definitely add the wow factor! But one of the things that could potentially have a huge negative impact, is getting the wrong size venue.

A huge cavern with only a few people can make the event feel empty, while guests could be left out in the cold, literally, if you don’t have enough space.

The truth is that the size of your marquee will be truly bespoke to your event. One of our marquees that can hold up to 6,000 people, will hold more like 2,000 for a gala dinner. And pure size is not the only consideration, we can create marquees with over 3000m2 of clear space (nothing blocking the view for a conference, for example).

Our SaddleSpans offer complete flexibility in tailoring the marquee to your event. See some of our most popular configurations here or get in touch for advice on creating a bespoke marquee for your event.

3 Steps to Build Retail Brand Loyalty with an Amazing Event

People are shopping online more frequently and visiting your physical shop less and less often, if you even have one. But there’s nothing like being able to see and hold a product.

Multi-channel marketing is one of the best ways to turn a one-off customer into a brand enthusiast and an event can be a great addition to a customer’s brand experience. Here are the 3 steps to ensuring you make the most of your event:

1. Have clear goals

Make sure you have your event goals in mind throughout the whole of the planning process. If you want to reward loyal customers and get them raving about you to their friends, offer a prize draw for anyone who tweets at you throughout the event, if it’s to find new customers, make sure you collect data so you can measure how well your event has done.

2. Make people engage with your brand story

Make sure there are things for people to get stuck in with, ideally related to the story of your brand. Making your audience a part of the event will make their memories, learning, enjoyment, and brand support stronger. Rather than seeing your company as  a faceless business that supplies them with stuff, if they believe in the story of your brand they are much more likely to care about it.

3. Make your event work hard for you

Your event’s marketing impact can stretch much further than the attendees with clever use of social media and online marketing. Come up with ideas that make the event fun for people following it remotely and create high quality content from the event to share later.

Add a Break-Out Room To Your Conference

These days conferences have become a lot more engaging than they used to be. The focus has moved from  large, impersonal rooms with screens, stage and row upon row of chairs to creating an interesting and useful event.

Creating ‘break-out’ zones is a great way of getting delegates to participate in workshops and discussions, or to just give them a place to meet up and have a chance to swap ideas and learn from one another.

An S1000 TriSpan, with its three ‘arms’, is perfect for this purpose.
