February cold snap – no match for our 4-Y SaddleSpan tent

February was a busy month for The Amazing Tent Company, not put off by the rain, wind and snow it had to offer, our latest challenge was to provide hospitality covering for a large pharmaceutical employee convention, using our 4-Y temporary SaddleSpan structure.

The breath-taking Bluestone Resort in the heart of Pembrokeshire, South Wales was our setting and stunning views surrounded the 500-acre grounds.

Unfortunately there was no time for us to take in the views, make use of the spa or restaurants as we had a job to do and despite the weather not being on our side, it was a job that went without a hitch. As well as providing the 4-Y hospitality SaddleSpan structure and flooring, The Amazing Tent Company were on hand to provide full site management services leading up to the event, and 24 hour stand-by crew throughout the duration of the project.

The day, put on by a leading event production company on behalf of one of the UKs major pharmaceutical companies, was a huge success and The Amazing Tent Company are proud to have played such a big role in the success of project, delivering on time and to budget.

These fabulous photos were taken from the air by Joe Simpson, they give a great impression of the sheer scale of the event and the scope of our tentage!

Partying Amazing Tent style at London Fashion Week

Last week the Amazing Tent team headed to the big smoke for the glitz and glam of London fashion week. The Amazing Tent Company provided the outdoor covering when underwear brand Bjorn Borg took over Battersea Power Station and gave it a Swedish make over, for the launch of its glow in the dark underwear range.

Our S5 SaddleSpan provided much-welcomed weather proofing on a windy February evening for the glamorous partygoers, which included celebrities such as Pixie Geldof, Caroline Flack and Kimberly Wyatt to name a few – not that we like to name drop!

A 25×50 metre ‘spray screen’ played host to a Paris Kain fashion film, which was fantastically projected over the River Thames.

We did a quick video, just on the digital camera, it gives an idea of how the spray screen technology works but you really need to be there to get the full effects of the spectacle though. We managed to get our SaddleSpan in there too to show how it integrated with the event. See video below

The Amazing Tent Company carry out installations on both grass and hard standing – this particular structure was held on a “brown field” site and at a historical location too, so extra precautions were taken to ensure underground services were safe using scanning equipment.

It was a great event, it’s just a shame we didn’t get to try any of the Swedish sushi!
