World Curry Festival – AMAZING!

In a unique partnership, Amazing Tent joined forces with festival organisers to supply a TriSpan arena in the heart of Leeds for the first World Curry Festival.

In October 2010 with bad weather inevitable, the structure was fully enclosed to provide maximum protection from the elements. The installation was logistically complex, with a hard-standing site in the centre of the city, so precision planning and prior preparation was an essential part of Amazing’s service.  Through a process of consultation with both organisers and the Council, the TriSpan was anchored using over 60 tonnes of ballast; nonetheless the installation of the structure was still completed within 2 days.

Inside, the structure was divided into three ‘zones’ – a chef demonstration area, a caberet stage and market place souk, providing visitors with enterntainment and retial therapy alongside the delights of eating curry!

With the festival being deemed by the press as an out-and-out success, Amazing will once again join forces with the organisers in 2011 to bring you the second World Curry Festival, this year in the home of British Curry, Bradford. Preliminary plans are underway to provide the TriSpan in the city centre’s Centenary Square with several new aspects being added to the Festival such as comedy, literature and music.

“I would like to personally thank you for all your efforts and hard work in making the first World Curry Festival a success. It was a wonderful experience which I hope to repeat again… thank you for supporting the festival this year and I hope you will continue next year” Zulfi Karim, Director

Boomerang returns

The rule is never work with Children and Animals but we love a challange! Amazing Tent were delighted to supply a DuoSpan structure for July’s Boomerang Pet’s Party hosted in Regents Park, London.

A free-of-charge fun-filled family day out, celebrating all things pets and animals, attractions included pony rides, face painting and a Looney Tunes go-kart track.

The Duospan structure was customised with low tack vinyl adhesive graphics of Scooby Doo bursting out the fabric and Tom chasing Jerry to his mousehole, with the canopy itself housing Garfield’s Kitchen and Pink Panther’s Pet Parlour. Both interactive Kids zones required sheltered space for seating and “playstations” and with both ends left open, the canopy proved a versatile, bright and airy enclosure.

All structures provided by Amazing Tent can be customised with a variety of accessories ranging from full-colour mesh banners and complete canpoy overlays to custom vinyl graphics.
