The Arco 10

There is another structure in our armoury that we would like to introduce to you – the Arco 10.

The Arco 10, like our SaddleSpans, is an eye-catching structure.  The fabric is semi-tensile so the roof does not flap about and, for what is fundamentally a simple design, it looks curvaceous and minimal, fulfilling the need for shelter without taking away from the main attraction inside.

The Arco 10 comes in at 10m x 10m, can be staked or ballasted (it only requires 500kg of ballast at each corner) meaning it can be erected on hard or soft surfaces with ease.

The whole structure is tidy, functional, easy to brand and is absolutely perfect for experiential marketing & roadshows.

If you would like more information about the Arco 10 please give us a call and find out what this little beauty can do for you.

Festival VIP Marquees

For festival organisers or sponsors, a VIP area is an important part of the festival experience. Creating a VIP area for special guests shows your appreciation and there’s no better way than by providing the ultimate chill out zone – a SaddleSpan TriSpan!

Not only can your VIP marquee be branded if necessary it can also be dressed and fitted according to your taste, providing an exclusive area that reflects your style.

SaddleSpans at the UEFA Champions Festival

The annual UEFA Champions Festival is coming to London on May 23-26 and one of our S5000 TriSpans will be there!

This four-day celebration of football is the first major event to be staged in the area since the London 2012 Olympics.

You can see from this artist’s impression (click for larger image) of the venue at the International Quarter in Stratford City, next to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, that our S5000 TriSpan (foreground centre) will be a focal point of the event.

The festival is free and features a series of family events as well as the Ultimate Champions Match starring UEFA Champions League greats of years gone by.

We are going to be installing the S5000 TriSpan this week, it’s going to be a fantastic festival and The Amazing Tent Company are proud to be a part of it.

The Importance of Social Media in the Events Industry

Introducing a Coincidence

Here at ATC we have an editorial calendar – a spreadsheet listing the blog topics that we are going to talk about for the coming months.  Today’s topic was to be the Importance of Social Media to us and the events industry as a whole.

As coincidence would have it, yesterday in Event Industry News, a white paper was published entitled How is the Event Industry Using Social Media? so we thought we’d look at some of the points raised and how here at The Amazing Tent Company we use social media.

How Important is Social Media?

Of the respondents to the survey in the white paper, 73% felt that social media was either “very important” or “somewhat important”.  Here at Amazing Tent we’ve been using social media for a while now and find it very important to us for helping raise awareness of the company, what we do and where we do it.

What Social Media Channels are being used?

Channel % Used
Facebook 85
Twitter 61
Xing 46
YouTube 42
Linkedin 41
Google+ 36
Blogs 31
Flickr 14
Other 12
None 4

(Note: Xing is a European social network – 60% of the respondents to the survey came from Germany, Austria and Switzerland)

Here at Amazing Tent we use:

The survey also showed that most event organisers were interested in learning more about Google+ – hopefully they will because it’s very lonely on Google+ at the moment!

Which Factors are Preventing You from Harnessing Social Media?

54% felt that lack of time is the single most important factor preventing organisers from harnessing the potential of social media. Organisation is the key but better still is getting someone else (a digital media agency perhaps?) to do it for you!

We’ve highlighted just a few of the results from the white paper. It also contains great social media tips for the event industry and is well worth a read.

One of the main points we feel are raised in the paper is that whilst most involved in the events industry understand the importance of social media, many are not allocating sufficient resources to it. That’s a pity because not only do we find social media to be valuable for us, it would be even better if more and more in the industry got involved. The important part of “social media” is the word “social”!

Raising the Roof with a Conference Marquee

A repeated problem in standard hotel conference rooms are the blocked sight lines to the speaker or screen.

Even worse is having to sit at an awkward angle to see around the head of the person  in front and if something important is placed at the bottom of a slide, it can be blocked by the audience members sitting farther forward.

It all makes for a frustrating experience for your conference delegates.

The good news it that these problems don’t occur with a SaddleSpan conference marquee. With a roof height of over 6m, there is plenty of room to raise your screens high enough for everyone to see. Also, the SaddleSpan structure doesn’t have poles that would block sight lines as other marquees do.

Call us now and enjoy the privilege of reaching your entire audience in a SaddleSpan conference marquee.
