New year, new ideas: 2025 event trends

Discover our predicted trends for 2025 and how you can implement them at your event.

Expanded seasonality

With winters becoming increasingly milder in the UK, we predict an increase in events taking place in the colder months like January and February. Previously, these months would have been seen as unpredictable and risky; however, they may be more desirable for planners and attendees. This could also benefit event planners’ budgets by avoiding peak season prices.

Whether you’re planning an event in the winter or the middle of summer, our saddlespan tents can pitch in all types of weather and locations.

Early bird tickets get the scrap

Many companies and people no longer have the luxury to financially commit to an event far in advance, therefore, early bird tickets are becoming a thing of the past. Attendee are more likely to want to understand the value of attending the event and may wait until all event announcements have been released before purchasing.

Rise in data collection

Quality data helps you to understand your event audience and how to engage with them. Whether that data is collected through registration forms or event apps this data will help you to know what your audience is interested in and enable you to   create a more personalised event for them.

More places to make personal connections

It may seem obvious, but face-to-face connections remain the best way to build personal connections. With this in mind, we’ll see a rise in event planners creating more time and space to network. Whether it’s more coffee breaks, meeting areas or cocktail hours.

Our saddlespan tents are fantastic for dividing up the space at your event. Whether it’s through partitions, material drapes or the use of furniture. Plus, this can all be branded in line with your event.

Implementing attendee feedback

To organise a successful event and keep attendee retention high, it’s important to listen to your guest’s feedback. Feedback forms are a great way to get this information and ideally should be sent out on the last day of your event to allow for honest and relevant responses.

We hope you have a fantastic year in the event industry and we look forward to seeing what 2025 brings.

Creating an eco-friendly Christmas grotto

The Christmas season is a wonderful celebratory time of year, but can bring with it lots of waste and excessive buying.

We have 5 top tips to help you create an environmentally friendly event without losing any of the fun.

1. Use beeswax candles to create atmospheric lighting

By opting for 100% natural beeswax candles, you’ll ensure no nasty chemicals are polluting the air. Plus, they have a higher melting point, which means they will burn for longer. This will also help you to keep your electricity usage down.

Candles look especially fantastic in our saddlespan tents creating warm golden tones that reflect well off the tent walls.

2. Create décor using natural materials

Instead of choosing throwaway plastic décor, why not go out and forage for your own décor? You could create impressive table displays with pinecones, twigs, and flowers. Holly and mistletoe always give a traditional Christmas look and are great to hang at your event using twine. We’d encourage you to do this inside one of our saddlespan tents to bring the outside world in.

 3. Buy second-hand

Buying pre-loved décor can be just as good as new – and half the price. Whether you visit a local charity shop or use online sites like Vinted, eBay or Facebook Marketplace. These websites are especially great if there is something specific that you’re looking.

 4. Provide recycling areas

If there’s going to be lots of gift giving at your event, ensure there are places your guests can recycle the wrapping paper. You could even encourage your guests to wrap using only eco-wrapping papers.

5. Create a seasonal menu

If you’re providing food at your Christmas celebration, try to make the menu as seasonal as possible. Using out-of-season produce can create a larger carbon footprint if the ingredients are being transported over long distances. Seasonal food also tends to be cheaper, fresher and more nutritious. Think creamy leeks and sweet clementines.

We hope this helps you to create a Christmas wonderland, whilst minimising waste. Let the festivities commence!

Temporary structures for a product launch event

If you’re organising a product launch event, you’ll want to find a venue that is memorable, elevates your product and impresses your guests. Our saddlespans are a perfect temporary structure for exactly that.

Benefits of hiring a saddlespan tent include…

  • There are no supporting poles to block the line of sight of your product
  • The opaque fabric cover of the saddlespan can be branded with company logos and used as a screen to display videos
  • The saddlespan can be erected just about anywhere
  • They are a cost-effective temporary structure for impactful corporate events, trade and shows

Here are three different saddlespan models that help show off your product.

S2000 Saddlespan

The S2000 saddlespan is one of our smaller tents that can come in two configurations – canopy or concert. The canopy allows you to ope

n both ends of the tent. This is great for a smaller stage where people can gather around either side – which works well for showcasing your product as it can be seen from different angles. For instance, if you were launching a new car, it would allow your audience to see all its features.

In concert style, the tent is closed at one end, providing back-line and equipment protection. This is fantastic if you want to showcase your product on stage with a presenter.

S5000 Saddlespan

The S5000 saddle span is a modular unit, meaning that it can be connected with other S5000 units  to create different-sized and shaped marquees, such as the DuoSpan and TriSpan. This saddle span is fantastic for larger crowds and stage coverings.

If you have this tent in an enclosed configuration it becomes a large marquee that can hold over 800 standing guests.

Quadspan

The Quadspan is the only one in Europe of its kind. This tent creates a 360-degree experience for guests to truly explore your product. It also offers flexibility as to how best to showcase your product, whether no ends as an open structure, with two sides, three sides, or with four sides closed. This tent can hold up to over 3,500 standing guests, making it a very spacious and impressive space for your event.

If one of these temporary structures sounds perfect for your product launch, get in touch today: https://amazingtent.co.uk/contact/

5 tips for creating an autumnal wonderland

As we say farewell to summer, it’s time for the vibrant oranges and burnt reds to decorate our forest floors. Whether you’re hosting a wedding, graduation party, or a corporate event – it’s a great time to embrace what this season offers.

1. Use autumnal fruit as decoration.

From pumpkins to apples to butternut squash – they can all be used to add colour to your event. Whether you’re looking to create a homey tablescape or an inviting entrance.

2. Candles to create an atmosphere

Want to create and add warmth to your event? Candles, candles, candles. We’d recommend using pillar candles or tea lights in holders so the flame can be closed in a container.

Alternatively, fairy lights are a fantastic option for creating a cosy setting. You could even hang these down from your saddlespan tent.

3. Embrace the seasonal flowers and foliage.

Some beautiful autumnal flowers will help bring some vibrancy to your event. Chrysanthemums are the quintessential autumn flower, that are affordable and can be used in a variety of ways. Whether you’d like a table bouquet or hanging flowers.

Alternatively, you could use dried flowers like pampas grass and strawflowers.

4. Use autumnal colour palettes.

From your event invitations to your welcome signs – try to add your chosen colours to all designs. We’d recommend using golden hues that add warmth and celebration.

5. Create a seasonal menu.

With the chill in the air, your guests will appreciate something hot – whether it’s a heartwarming stew or a buttery pie. And it doesn’t just stop at the food; you could also serve hot apple cider or fruity mulled wine.

We hope these tips helped you on your way to creating a cosy autumnal bash.

Our saddlespan tents are fantastic for keeping your guests warm and can be pitched just about anywhere. Find our range here: https://amazingtent.co.uk/saddlespan-tents/

A summer of festival fun

With the largest selection of saddlespan tents in Europe and a seasoned team of event professionals, we’ve had a busy summer supporting various festivals. We recap the events where our saddlespan tents made an impact.

Our festival season kickstarted in May this year with Tunes in the Dunes on 17 – 19 May. Taking place on the golden sands of Perranporth beach in Cornwall. This year’s headliners included McFly, Craig David, Ellie Sax, The Bootleg Beatles, and The Feeling. As well as music, the festival offered yoga, surfing, and plenty of places to eat and drink. The dates and tickets for next year’s festival are now out, taking place on 6 – 8 June 2025.

A week later, we saw some big names at the BBC Big Weekend in Luton’s Stockwood Park, including Coldplay, RAYE, Sabrina Carpenter, Charli XCX, Vampire Weekend, and lots more. Over 100,000 festivalgoers attended the event to dance the weekend away. We look forward to finding out where the festival will be heading in 2025.

Flashforward to August, this was our busiest festival weekend. Starting with Reading and Leeds festival taking place on the 21 – 25 August. This year’s headliners included Blink 182, Fred Again.., Lana Del Rey, and Renee Rap. We were thrilled to see one of our saddlespan tents was used for the BBC Radio 1 stage that showcased upcoming talent.

Between 22 – 25 August, we also pitched up at Creamfields North in Cheshire. This electronic dance festival included global DJs from Calvin Harris to Armin Van Buuren to Tiësto.

We ended the festival season with the fantastic Big Feastival at Alex James farm in The Cotswolds. This family-friendly festival included music from the likes of Becky Hill, Snow Patrol and Cat Burns. Food shows with top chefs, including Andi and Miquita Oliver, Cherish Finden, Fitwaffle, and Jack Stein. And plenty more for the kids, including Silly Science, Cotswold Farm Park and entertainment from Children’s TV star Justin Fletcher.

Keep mischievous bugs at bay during your event

After a seemingly ceaseless downpour of rain over the last couple of months, the sun is starting to make an appearance. Simultaneously, so are all the bugs.

They thrive in mild temperatures and wet conditions, making your event tent this summer their prime target. Here are some easy tricks to keep your tent bug free for your event.

Removing water sources around the tent

We might love to complain about the weather, but this year we may have the grounds to grumble as we have had some of the wettest months on record. Unfortunately, the multiplying bugs love standing water, so, if possible, plan your event and your tent location away from streams or lakes however picturesque they may be.

For the few of you who have your hearts set on a lakeside wedding or party, try removing all other sources of standing water as well as taking on board some of the following ideas.

‘Be Smitten Not Bitten’ – The survival kit

Create a ‘survival station’ near your tent to keep guests happy. All you need is a table with bug protection such as bug spray, bite cream and citronella candles – you can also get some citronella bracelets for kids.

Citronella is also fantastic for disguising other smells, making it harder for bugs to find food sources. Also, the use of essential oils like peppermint and Eucalyptus will keep guests relaxed whilst fighting away insects.

Thankfully, many insects do not like the shade and so our versatile SaddleSpan tents will provide your guests with a retreat away from pestering bugs.

Flowers for tent decoration

When selecting decoration ideas, it’s important to consider the use of insect-repelling flowers. Some dried lavender hung inside your tent will both provide a fragrant scent and deter bugs who have no care for the sweet smell.

Chrysanthemums or marigolds could add vibrant rainbows of colours to your celebrations as well as deal with the problem of hard-shell bugs and midges. Herbs like rosemary, basil or mint could also prove useful and would be easy to incorporate into your decorations from parties to festivals.

Soft lighting and hidden fans

With longer evenings the party celebrations can go on well into the night. When darkness does finally fall, keep the festivities going with the use of warmer-toned lights to keep your Saddlespan tent both cosy and bug-free. Avoid bright white lights as they not only create a more clinical feel to the soirée but also act as a beacon for insects to follow.

A subtly hidden fan disguised in decorations will ward off insects too. Plus, the light breeze will keep guests cool.

Stop insects feasting on your food

To avoid insects digging into your meal as well as you, steer clear of leaving food uncovered. This especially applies to raw meat and sweet treats.

If you are having buffet-style dining, you could use mesh beaded food coverings to keep the food safe from bugs.

Hopefully with this guidance, bugs will be unable to interfere with your event, no matter the location, weather, or season.

Event tent décor that will make a lasting impression

Bring your event tent to life this summer whether you’re going for a cosy laid-back vibe or refined and elegant

1. Make a statement entrance

Set the tone from the very beginning and think about what your guests will first see as they walk into the tent. You could decorate this with a flower arch, ribbons that float about in the wind, or pretty hanging paper lanterns.

2. Create an atmosphere with light

If you’re going for a dark atmospheric evening, think of candle sticks and lamps. Low lighting will help to create a mystical mood. Or if you’re going for an uplifting party vibe, why not hang up a glittering disco ball?

Our saddlespan tents are great for customising the lighting to how you would prefer. Whether you want the walls up on the tent to create a more intimate affair. Or if you’d rather have them rolled up to allow the natural light in.

3. Elevate your flooring

Be creative with your tent flooring to help divide the sections of your space. For instance, you could use checkered tiles in the middle of the tent to create a dancefloor. Alternatively, you could have a patterned or coloured floor that matches your event theme.

Luckily, our saddlespan tents allow for any flooring you’d like, whether it’s wood, carpet, or foam.

4. Photo worthy backdrops

Backdrops are fantastic for drawing guests’ attention to a specific part of the tent and can sometimes help to hide things you don’t want them to see.

You could hang décor on the side of your tent to create these backdrops or you could use a freestanding element like a mirror or a wooden board.

5. Create chill lounge areas

To keep your guests comfortable during your event, why not create lounge spaces with stylish furniture. Think fluffy rugs, plush cushions, and soft blankets, pulled together with lamps and plants.

This is great for creating an intimate area for guests to network, away from noisy areas. Our saddlespan tents are very spacious, which makes them perfect for creating separate activity areas. Whether it’s a lazy lounge area or a neon games section.

Most importantly, it’s about creating an experience that will keep your guests happy and engaged. We hope these tips inspire you to go all out on your next event tent.

5 tips for hosting an inclusive and accessible event

We’re sure you’ll agree as an event planner, that creating an event where everybody has a fantastic time is your number one priority. With that in mind, your event must make everyone feel comfortable and welcome. Here are our 5 top tips to help do this:

1. Choose an accessible venue

When choosing your venue, keep in mind whether it is suitable for everyone, including- but not limited to people with reduced mobility, blind or visually impaired, and deaf or hard at hearing. It’s vital to check with the venue manager about accessibility and the different requirements like, ramps or elevators, accessible bathrooms, and whether it is safe for service dogs.

Our saddlespan tents are a great accessible space as they allow plenty of space to move around in, they do not require any ramps, and they can be installed with the most suitable flooring for your guests.

2. Creating diverse content

Whether you’re planning a corporate conference or an artsy workshop, it’s a good idea to create content that appeals to a range of guests. As well as having speakers from a range of backgrounds, to give different perspectives.

If your event includes teaching something, think about how you can help people learn in different ways. Whether that’s through discussion, playing, experimenting, or kinesthetic learning. Our saddlespan tents provide enough room for all types of activities, whether you need a stage for speakers, long workshop tables, or just enough room for physical activities like yoga.

3. Provide inclusive communication

To ensure people who are deaf or hard at hearing feel included in the discussion, hire qualified sign language interpreters to help sign talk next to the speaker. Also, if you’re showing any videos or slideshows, make sure they are captioned with a large font that can be easily read from afar.

4. Cater for a range of diets

When deciding what food to have at your event, it’s best to consider everyone’s dietary requirements and allergies. Be sure to include options that are dairy-free, gluten-free, halal, kosher, vegetarian, vegan, and non-alcoholic.

You should also be mindful of how the food is being served. For instance, if it’s buffet-style, will someone with limited mobility or someone who is visually impaired be able to access it safely?

5. Creating neurodiverse spaces

Neurodiversity is a way of explaining how unique brains work. People who are neurodiverse tend to process information differently from how the average person’s brain would. At an event, you’ll want to consider how to make safe spaces for these people. If you’re hiring one of our saddlespan tents, they can easily be partitioned with fabric to create the separate spaces you may require.

Whether it’s a quiet zone where they can take a moment away from crowds and loud noises, or a sensory-friendly space where there isn’t any overwhelming lighting or graphic displays. You should also provide clear schedules to help them prepare for the event.

By following these tips to create an accessible and inclusive event, you’ll be taking a positive step in the right direction and helping your guests to have a better, more memorable experience.

Keeping festival goers safe and happy

Festival season is just around the corner. To create a fun, exciting, memorable festival experience for your guests, it’s important to have their health and safety at the forefront of your mind.

Here are a couple of things you will need to consider before and during your event to keep everyone safe and happy:

Pre-event communication

Communication before your festival is essential to make sure your guests are aware of the rules and requirements expected of them on-site. This is everything from ticket entry to travel to guest behaviour.

It’s also a good time to advise your guests on what to bring with them. Unfortunately, festivals can sometimes see a lot of theft, therefore it’s a good idea to remind your guests to not bring anything valuable.

To save on space at your event, you could plan to divide your tents into seperate areas. For instance one section could be for lost property and another section as a safe space. Our saddlespan tents give you this flexibility to use for lots of different purposes.

Creating safe spaces

It’s important to have zero tolerance for assault and harassment at your event. By creating a dedicated safe space – in a dedicated tent which is clearly sign posted –  this will allow people to report any unsociable behaviour discreetly.

You can also create a code word that can be used by festival goerssomeone is having a bad experience with someone else that they can’t get out of. One of the most known code words is going to a bar and asking for ‘Angela’. This will allow your staff to be notified that the person is in danger or feeling uncomfortable so that they can help them to be removed from the situation.

If your event allows families and children to attend, it’s also a good idea to create a children’s space/tent in case they get lost. A dedcated space where parents can go and children can be kept safe.

Minor injuries tent

Some festivals can get quite crazy, so it’s no surprise that this can lead to injuries. Some of the most common festival injuries include sunstroke, sprained ankles, cuts and bruises, bug bites, and overdoing it with alcohol and drugs.

Making sure you have a medical assistant on hand will help your guests to have a smooth recovery. You should also put a plan in place in case you need an emergency ambulance to access the site for serious injuries.

Our saddlespan tents provide fantastic coverage from the sun, making them ideal for medical tents. Plus, they have a very unique style helping them stand out from the crowd.

Hydration stations

From sugary drinks to singing your heart out to your favourite band – it’s easy to become dehydrated at a festival. We recommend having multiple water stations spread out around your festival to allow people to freely fill up their water bottles. If you have an event map, it’s a good idea to mark where these stations are in relation to the main stages or tents.

Phone charging ports

After videoing whole performances and taking a thousand pictures with friends, it’s no surprise a phone battery might not survive the festival weekend. Providing charging ports at your festival will allow your guests to keep capturing memories and help them  stay in touch with their friends at the site.

Employ plenty of staff and volunteers

You will need as many hands as you can get at a festival. It’s essential for the safety of your guests that the site is kept as clean as possible. From rubbish on the floor to festival toilets. Having a good number of staff will also help to keep an eye on the event and ensure everything runs smoothly.

We hope these tips will help you on your way to creating a safe environment for your guests, where they can have the best experience ever.

How to bring wellness into your event

In today’s fast-paced world, wellness and self-care have become a priority for more and more people. And it’s not surprising we’ve seen this rise in the events industry too.

Investing in your guest’s well-being at your event can help to improve your event retention and success rate. We have a few simple ways you can incorporate wellness into your event – even if you’re hosting a corporate product launch or heavy metal music gig.

Wellbeing activities

One activity that is sure to bring a bit of zen to your event is yoga. Yoga is fantastic for connecting the mind and body through strength and flexibility. You could easily set up a section at your event by spreading out yoga mats. Our saddlespan tents are fantastic for providing coverage for activities like this.

If you only have a small amount of space to incorporate an activity, why not set up a massage bench for people to partake in a rejuvenating massage? This is something your guests will appreciate after a long day.

Nutritious food

From deep-fried burgers to fully loaded fries – it’s often the case that there is not the healthiest food options at events. When planning your event to make sure there are food stands that offer an alternative. Whether its a vegan taco stand or a colourful salad bar. Your guests will appreciate the choice and it will help them to feel better on the inside.

And it doesn’t just stop there. A fantastic way to ensure guests are hydrated at all times is to have water stations spread out at your event. This is especially important at large events like festivals where guests can quickly become dehydrated. Alternatively, you could have a smoothie station where guests can make drink creations from fruit and vegetables.

Embracing nature

Studies have shown spending even a small amount of time in nature can have a positive impact on people’s mental health. Bringing nature into the event can help guests to feel calmer and more at one with the living world.

You could do this by either bringing plants into the event – which make for very nice decoration – or if you’re hosting your event in a tent, you could let the outdoors in by opening up the walls. Our range of tents can be easily adapted to include walls or not and are perfect for all weather conditions.

We hope these ideas inspire you to bring a bit of well-being into your event to create a positive environment for your guests and staff.
